I'm fairly new to MX programming but I do own a 950 and learn on it constantly so I think I'm getting where I want to be with programming (I'm lazy at home, helps me think of easier ways to do stuff).
I'll share my favorite trick so far, which involves a simple variable. This trick is to make the channel up/down buttons act as page up/down when in the guide such as DirecTV does. Its pretty simple.
First I move the channel up/down buttons to a hidden page. Then I create a variable and call it "guide." After this I assign Guide=1 to the "guide" and "menu" buttons, and Guide=0 to the "exit" and "select/ok" buttons. Now, I create a variable macro on the channel up/down buttons, making 0 state channel buttons and 1 state page buttons. I have found this to be a very reliable setup. I set the menu button as 1 so if you are going through movies in on demand you can use the page buttons as well.
Who else has some tricks they would like to share?
