I was just wondering why you would want repeat X3 as the default? For me this causes a double or triple entry for some functions. I was just wondering why this is a default setting and do most of you keep this setting? Chad

I'm wondering the same thing. I have an MX-900, and it's the same. My remote works fine, but I'm just curious.

Keep it as is. It will sent the IR command 3 times but your system will operate correctly anyways.

All the IR remotes that I programmed have X3 by default too.

The 3 repeat is basically a confirm so the component knows it received the right command before it processes the command and executes. Just a "checksum" of sorts.

Normally everything works fine, but URC leaves the option for you to adjust it just in case you need to.

I have found that girder will tend to process the items multiple times, but other devices work fine with it. Since most of my HTPC is working via Girder it was giving me some grief at first. Chad
