I written several macros using the A button of my cable box. If I move that button to another, hidden page, will I need to redo those steps in the macros?

Thanks,
Harold

As long as you go into the LCD editor of the remote, and just drag and move the button, no you won't have to redo the macro. If you create a new button and delete the old one, then yes, you'll have to redo it.

I don't see why you'd want to hide the ABC buttons, though. You have a SA DVR? The ABC are used extensively in the DVR menus.

8,

Exactly. I use the A & B buttons a lot and will probably copy them to the hard buttons for Prev & Exit, which I rarely use and will make as LCD buttons instead. Still playing around w/how I want to set it all up.

Thanks,
Harold

I'd just keep them on the LCD screen. The great thing about the LCD screen in the MX series remotes is that you can put any label you want on them. If you move A and B to prev. channel and exit, first off, you'll have to remember that they are there, and secondly, if someone else picks up your remote, they won't know why previous channel and exit don't do their proper commands.

That was the main reason URC got rid of the M1, M2, and M3 buttons on the original MX500. If someone picked up the remote to use it, they would have no clue what those buttons did. If you start moving things around, then you make it a remote that only you'll know how to use.
