Hi, on my new MX-850 when downloading the config to the remote, the remote displays the following two errors: IROUT Fail! IRAMP Fail! Why is that. The remote behaves weird, sometimes the codes and macros sent work fine simetimes they don't.

It always says that, and always has. When I got my first 850 many years ago, that caused me to pause (because my 700 shows the tests as all "pass") and so I called URC tech support, where I was told that that readout always happens, don't pay any attention to it. I now have 2 850s that I use every day, and they both act that way on "test" and they both have performed admirably for many years, both with IR and with RF. Why that message has not been corrected in an update is beyond me, but, as the man said, don't pay any attention to it. It's just a test.

Yup...IROUT and IRAMP always fail on MX-850's (but not MX-700's or MX-800's). That does not mean there is anything wrong to the remote.
As for the problem with your remote...it's thus unrelated. Have you tried changing batteries? Are you using learned codes?
