I have a Squeezebox and have programmed all the buttons on my 810 by using my Pronto and copying the button from the Pronto to the Squeezebox. The problem I'm having is that the response when pressing a button is too slow. In other words, for some of the Squeezebox features, I need to press the number 2 twice (or more times) in succession relatively quickly. The 810 will not repeat the IR for the button fast enough. In fact, what happens is that I can press the button, here the beep, but the second press of the button, there is no beep and no IR. By the time I press a third time and finally get a beep and IR, it's too late.

I've also learned one of the buttons using the Squeezebox remote and the 810. This does not appear to solve the problem.

Any idea on what else I can do to allow me to press buttons relatively quickly on the 810?

Thanks.

I have to say that this bug sucks. I cannot get the remote to send IR signals fast enough for the Squeeze Box. This makes the remote basically useless for this device. Meanwhile, my Pronto works perfectly, as does the original remote for the device. Yet one more reason never to buy another 810.

I'm going to have to get rid of the 810. I've tried everything I can do to improve the response of this remote for use with the Squeezebox. Unfortunately, nothing works. The remote is useless for the Squeezebox. Since I use these features all the time, I'm going to have to look at another remote. Unfortunately, I don't think I can trust any URC remote and likely will have to go back to a Pronto, which works perfectly fine with the Squeezebox. I like the 810 much better from a hard button perspective than the Pronto, but there are too many bugs in the software, I can't figure out how to download updated versions of the software, and it's unexcusable for the 810 not to work properly with a simple device such as a Squeezebox.

I'd get rid of the squeeze box before the MX-810! JK.
