I have one page of favorites working except that the one OTA channel that requires a dash won't insert the dash in the macro. (HR-20) When I do the channel manually with the +10 button programmed as the dash it works but in the macro it doesn't insert a dash. What have I done wrong? The +10 is a dash in both the device and activity.

Is there no way to know which file version is loaded into the remote? Is there an easy way to leave a marker so you can tell?

Thanks

Whatever file you download to the remote is the one that's in there, as downloading wipes out the previous configuration. Try editing the favorite channel macro in the Universal Browser. You can check or replace the "-" command there and/or add delay time as needed.

On the HR-20 I have found that you need to add a delay before and after the "-".
Just a short one will work.

No delay is needed for the dash, the problem is the channel chart where you select the numerics to go with the logo. Evidently the key for "dash" there does not apply the "dash" from the commands in the HR 20.

If you are working on several experimental files it would be nice to be able to see which one is loaded in the remote when you come back to it. That's why I asked about identification of files in the remote.

A new one. I have several pages in an activity that won't 'hide' when they are checked to be hidden. Any resolution ideas for this?

Thanks.

It should typically be using the +10 key (where the dash is usually programmed) from the device file. Check it in the Universal Browser and see if fixing it there solves the problem.

Well, you could make a notation of which file you've downloaded or add an identifying button to the same device and page in each file. That way you could simply go to that page to see what file is currently loaded.

Haven't seen that one. You might just have to recreate the activity.

I tried putting a marker on an LCD button on my different programs to identify them as you suggested. I must be missing some very basic understanding on how this remote programming works because I can only get one ID to remain. It becomes the marker at both programs. What do I need to do after I put a letter on an LCD button to keep it in that file only?

I also have the issue of 4 pages of favorites programmed but only two show up on the remote. I thought I saw reference to this but can't find it now. Is there a solution? Do you have to fill all the pages?

RE my previous question about hidden activity pages still being shown, it turns out that somehow the 'hide' boxes became unchecked, but not by me directly.

Thanks.

If it's just saving over your prior program, you may need to change the file name in the file folder through Explorer. There's a bug with favorites that causes display problems when you try to add move favorites, use text buttons and have unfilled pages. You usually have to redo the whole activity to get it to work.
