I have the code for the Denon receivers (particularly the AVR-2807) which cycles through A-speakers, B-speakers, then both sets of speakers; I believe that there are Discrete codes for these 3 settings, but I have not been able to find them.

I would appreciate it if anybody could direct me to a source for these codes.

I have not seen them. Not sure why you want to switch from A to B?

Thanks for that data; I'm not sure if I can figure out how to convert that chart into a code for the MX-950, but I'll look into it.

The setup in question uses the B speakers to feed audio to a set of speakers outside on the deck, as an alternative to the small speakers built into the LCD screen used out there. The A speakers are part of the 5.1 audio in the main viewing room in the house, and aren't needed when the B speakers are in use, and vice-versa.

I can work around the lack of discrete speaker codes by using the "User1" 2, and 3 settings, which include A speakers or B speakers (or both), but the discrete codes would free up those settings for other uses, and of course would allow for a more elegant macro when switching between the indoor viewing and the outdoor.

The other command, which is a triple toggle between A, B, and A+B, is, of course, not nearly as reliable as the discrete codes.

If you have a 2807 and you have a 5.1 in the main zone then use zone 2 for your speakers outside and you can have 2 things playing at the same time.

I'm using Zone 2 for signals to the Kitchen and the Bedroom LCD sets, which use their own speakers. The speakers on the deck need amplification, and I don't think I can do that with speakers coming out of the Zone 2 outputs on the Denon.

Perhaps if the manual were written more clearly, all of the available alternatives would be more clear to us owners.

Absolutely! No individual who sets up a new receiver or a new set of speakers every few years, or even once every year, can hope to have the knowledge or experience of a professional who does the same thing several times a week. Any installer who can read, comprehend and implement the Denon receiver manuals is not being paid enough.

Denon's documentation is actually fairly easy to interpret. they make you jump through hoops, however.

These worked for the 06 and 07 series. many of the 08 do not list these functions.

Those work, and are very helpful.

I found a few codes with those labels in the various Denon code sets, but none of them worked (and none had a discrete code for A+B), but these codes all work on my 2807.

I greatly appreciate any work you put into that conversion to hex.
