Quick question:

does the TX1000/950/3000 do both RF and IR, or does it only do IR?

Can you mix and match IR and RF? Want to add lighting control and Lutron has both an RF and IR dimmer but I wonder if I add the RF will it still work while the rest of the equipment is IR

Thanks.

The TX1000/950 & 3000 have the capability of firing out IR and/or RF. You can also mix & match both signals as well as individually assign each flasher via your processor (MRF*** or the MSC-400)
Is the water wet?

They all do IR and RF. However, the RF is not for speaking to RF components. The RF is used to extend the IR signals into places they would not normally go and make IR communications more consistent.

The RF will only talk to a RF base station which then transmits IR to the components.

You can also use more than one RF base station set to different house codes so you can use the same remote in different areas.
I long for a better world. One in which a chickens motives will not be questioned when mearly crossing the road.
