Hi,

I have a cool new toy, er I mean video server unit that comes with an IR remote. It is a fairly new unit on the market.

Just wondering what the best way is to help other URC users out there who might want the codes?

a) I can upload the codes to the Software section of the forum here. If so, what is the best way to do this?. I looked at the MX-3000 manual and it said I could export a device from the file menu. However, I have the MX-980 and did not see this menu there. (hint, hint -- would love it if there was documentation for the MX-980.)

b) Would I contact URC and tell them to add the codes to their database?

c) I have met the developer of the item (it's a small company). I could ask them to supply their codes directly -- they may have other codes that can't be "learned" such as discrete on and off. What exactly would I ask them for (e.g. hex code table)? Should I have them contact URC and the other remote companies directly?

Thanks everyone.
