Hello - I am considering an mx-810. it is mentioned here several times to use an authorized dealer. Is there a list or a link somewhere confirming authorized dealers. I found a price od $207 on the internet but i do not know if the seler is authorized.

Thank you,

Anthony

Surf Remote and Control Remotes here are pretty helpful guys... ask them.
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.

Here's 2 Dealers you Can Go With

6TH Ave Electronics
B&H Photo
Beware of those Really Low Price Ones!! you will Need to Get Your Remote from An authorized Dealer Or YOU Will Not Have A Warranty or Be Able to Get the Software. Most Good Dealers are Charging $399. If you Are Not Sure If They Are authorized Just Ask Them.... Or Email Universal Remote And Ask them...

Hey Surf. Is that a list of Direct dealers? We have been a URC dealer through distribution for about 4 years now, and we are not on that list....

It's a list of authorized internet dealers. There are many dealers and installers that sell locally that are not on that list or the other list which is by state. If you buy from one of URC's distributors, you can sell locally. To sell on the internet, you must sign a separate agreement. For example, AVS (mentioned above) is authorized dealer, but not an authorized internet dealer.

URC's has 2 distinct listing of Authorized dealers.

One is the "Authorized Internet Dealers", meaning those dealers that have authorization from URC to sell online. Just because a dealer may sell URC and even be an "Authorized Dealer" as below, it doesn't give them the authorization to sell via the internet.

The other "Authorized Dealers" are those who buy directly from URC. Distribution accounts, those dealers who buy only from distributors, are not listed.

Ah..Thanks for the explanation...but my other question would be....why would they have you search by zip code if that is a list of internet dealers? Shipping could not be a huge factor?

You're talking about two different lists. The one I posted a link to is simply interent dealers:

The other one is to find local dealers, so there's a state and/or zip code lookup:
