I recently purchased an electric fireplace. It has four buttons: POWER, HEATER, FLAME UP, and FLAME DOWN.

My MX-900 learns all buttons EXCEPT the power button. I have two 900's and neither work. When learning, both say Learn...GOOD! when teaching them, so I know they are seeing the signal and recording it in their little chip brains.

So tell me, what makes three buttons work, but not the fourth? I'm stumped. (And yes, I've tried to program the MX-900 about a zillion times with no success. I've also tried assigning the POWER function to different buttons.)

Perhaps there are some IR frequencies it thinks it learns but cannot emit?

I have now tried it embedded within a macro. All commands are executed except the POWER command. Very strange. URC tech support has not written back as of yet.
