i plan to purchase a large LCD when the 50+ in. 1080i sets drop in price,
then a new amp, new speakers, blueray, etc.

have you pointed this out to the manager/owner of this place?? are you still in the 30day window? i would return it for a full refund and find a reputable online retailer to deal with for all your electronic needs.... there are good ones out there.

good luck, your story really puts a bee in my bonnet! (yes i do wear a bonnet... but just on saturday mornings)

I don't want to make this an argument, I've read all of
those already, I'd just like the current set of software
for my $600 remote.

Brad

The expansion pack isn't the software. Saying this is the first remote ever to have one of these I'd consider it more of a bonus than a necessity.

i dont care how you word it, if your dealer wont give it to you then your dealer is a POS.

That may be. I'm no CI, so I don't know if I'll get access to it when I buy the remote from a local dealer. I certainly hope they'll give it to me. But it's not going to be make-or-break, as I've programmed several MX-3000's without any such expansion pack, so to me it's a bit of a bonus.

Although I will agree, a good dealer would give it to you.

This is a plug for Mike at SurfRemoteControl.com.

Very helpful. PM him. I bet he'll be most helpful if you purchase from him.

I 2nd that. Purchasing from him was one of the best dealings I have had with an online business.
