I have an MX-810 with MRF-350. I'm trying to use it to control my HTPC via Girder and USB-UIRT. I need to teach girder my remote's commands. I've tried many different random devices and programmed the MX-810 to use them as the designated HTPC remote device. The problem is that every one I've tried alternates the IR codes with successive button presses, or if it is held down. This causes problems with Girder, in that it won't capture all of the button presses. I could teach girder each different IR code for each different button, but it's tedious and not rock solid as some buttons use more than 5 different codes per button.

What I'm looking for are some good devices that do not use alternating or toggle codes, so that I can use them as my HTPC remote device. Anybody have any ideas?

I've tried Comcast, Tivo, Sony LCD, Sony DVD+VCR, Samsung LCD, Denon Receiver, MCE remote and several others with no luck.

Thanks.
