Does anyone know why the pickup sensor stops working for no reason? It's enable on the remote. It's done this once before and after numerous attempts of turning it on it started working again. Maybe it's a firmware glitch? I do have the latest software per Live Update. Any thoughts let me know.

Thanks
Ken

Problems such as this can generally be attributed to one of three things. It's either a software issue, a hardware issue, or user error. Let's try to rule out user error first. Did you make sure that the pickup sensor is enabled in both the editor and on the remote itself? I seem to recall someone saying that the remote's internal settings will override everything else.

Yes, the remote's internal setting has the sensor set to ON. The editor also has it set to ON too. It was working just fine until I took it off the charger today.

Do a factory reset on the remote, (Watch + Enter / Systems / Factory Default)
Test the pickup sensor with the default config; if it works (User Error), if it doesn't (software issue)
You win some, you loose some...

I just did a factory reset and the pickup sensor still does not work. So it's a software or hardware issue and not me (user error)...

Try uninstalling then re-installing the editor. Next, flash a new (empty) configuration to the remote and see if it solves your problem. If it doesn't, I'm inclined to think that it may be some type of intermittent electrical short in the remote. If that's the case, you'll have no choice but to send it to URC or swap it out with another one from your dealer.

Out of the blue last night it started sensing pickups for a few minutes and then quit working again. There had been no changes made to the remote since I reloaded my configuration after the factory reset. I'm inclined to think it's a hardware issue and will discuss with dealer today.

Thanks for the help

Ken

i also find it doesnt turn on when picking it up sometimes... generally remedied by a good shake. but it sounds like this is an issue to be addressed.

A good shake has never worked when I tried it. I really like the feature so hopefully it gets addressed nif it's software related.

try slamming it against your forehead multiple times. if you dont have button imprints on your head, then it wasnt hard enough.

haha sorry.
