I have the 810. When I program my satallite box (uk sky box) the navigation buttons work but send the signal for too long. This means when I do a short press on the up button the menu goes up two items. I have seen this before either on my nevo or pronto (I forget which). With that device you could specify the duration of the ir transmission for a short press.
Does such an option exist for the 810?
In terms of trying different IR codes I tried the database, recording the IR from the original remote and using other peoples setups on here. I can get a kind of fix by recording the IR signnal from the orignal remote but only doing a short press on that. That does mean that holding the button down does not work.

best bet is to continue to try and re-learn the code, or go into the software for the other remotes, learn the code correctly and set up the preferences, and then learn that code into the 810
