I need some help finding discreet power on and power off codes for my cable box/DVR. It's supplied by Comcast and it's a Motorola DCT-3416. I would prefer not to turn off the cable box, but when I hit the Off button it shuts it down...I did not program that in my macro???

AFAIK, there are no discrete power codes for these boxes. Personally, I leave mine on all the time. It's not like you save power by turning it off. The drive spins 24/7 anyway.

I would like to leave it off all the time, but I am having trouble. I macro the off button and did not put any codes in for the Motorola. When I hit off all my equipment shuts down, including the Motorola. Any ideas?

you have the off ir code on the button too - not in the macro
try hitting the delete key and select ir data - not macro

AS OEX SAID, delete THE ir CODE FIRST then do your "OFF " macro"
