If it was a snake you would have been bitten by now :-)

I don't know about anywhere else, but I believe you can get the clock on the top bar between the power and IR bars just by selecting a check box. Under the text section there are selections for text, date, time, or page (just under variables). It appears you can even assign it to a button (hmm). Anyway, I have not tried it yet so YMMV.

Good luck (I may have to play with that later).

If I do that I will lost the device name, and I can't really share the "button" between text and time.

Other than top location. any other location is already occupied for the soft buttons.
any suggestion?
I don't want to create button/ designate a soft button just for showing time is possible.

What's wrong with putting it on the top in replacement of watch and/or listen? If you've pressed Watch or Listen and your icons represent the sources for those modes, it's not really necessary to say Watch or Listen anymore.

or

Depending upon how your background looks, you can shift all of the buttons up a bit and place the time on the background on the bottom center, left or right with a small font and the button images will still line up.

Anyplace where you can type text, you can instead choose to insert the date or time. I put the time on several common pages. In addition, I made a device called time. It really only jumps to a page that has both the time & date.
