I'll admit that the major thing holding me back from picking up an MX-810 is the whole lack of a charging base issue. Does anyone know how long the average user is going to get out of a single charge for an MX-810? A week? Three weeks? Three days? Anyone have any real-world results on this?

A week is about right.

The remote actually has a power adapter that plugs into the bottom of the remote. The USB port is on the side. With the 810 I use at home, we are getting about a week per charge. Depends on how long the LCD and backlight are on. I have mine set for 15 secs for both.

I hated the lack of a cradle, at first. But it's actually pretty nice to just plug it in like a cell phone. You can even use it while charging, which was a plus. If you turn down the button lights, you can really extend the battery life. Once a week charging is easy.
