I came across an old thread on this subject on Google, but was unable to find it again later, so I'm just going to start a new one...

I've got a new AppleTV and have programmed a page on my MX-3000 for it and it works if I point the remote at it and use IR directly, so I know the codes are good (I used the codes for the MacBook Pro), but when I put the blaster in front of the sensor and walk away, I get nothing. All other devices in my media center are working fine.

**UPDATE**
Further testing shows that when I'm on the AppleTV page, the codes for the newly programmed AppleTV buttons are not being sent down the IR Blasters, they only appear to be sent over IR. When I push the volume button (a passthrough), I can see the blaster light up, but not any of my newly programmed buttons. Is there some setting I need to choose in the software to allow the command to be sent over RF? What am I missing?

Has anyone experienced (and overcome) a similar situation?

Thanks for any help!

which base are you using? Is the IR port turned on? Have you check the IR output using a LCD camera? It could be overloading the sensor.
