Hello,

I've been trying for almost 3 weeks to contact someone at URC to obtain a replacement LIGHT button (just the plastic button on the right side) but with no success.
I've contacted them several times via their website customer support and repair service but no one answered my e-mails.

If there's some URC representative around here, can he please tell me if and how can I purchase this little spare part and have it sent to me (I live in Italy)?
I just need it to bring back my MX-500 to top notch status, I have used it for 4 years with complete satisfaction.

Thank you in advance,

Alberto Zanfi
Modena, Italy

I would suggest that you send a PM to Darnitrol or Eric Johnson. They are both frequent contributors and visitors at RC.

You are not going to be sent a spare part, you will have to send the remote in for service.

Well,

thanks for the advice.
I'm afraid that sending the remote back for repair in the USA and returned to me would cost too much to be worth it. I could as well purchase a new unit...
Anyway, I'll try to contact one of the above gentlemen.

Well, I finally managed to contact Darnitol.

He doesn't belong to the customer service department, he's working in the R&D division, a lot of miles away from the main offices.
Anyway, he was able to get in touch with the right people and they sent me a replacement light button free of charge.

I've just put together my MX-500 again and it works like it was new!

Thank you very much Dale, you're a real gentleman.
I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year!
