Besides learning or typing in advanced codes where possible, there are a couple of ways to add new codes - by modem or by cable. In either case, you need to go to the JP1 forums at hifi-remote.com. There, you can download the software and device files to make wav files for your remote. Play back the wav files on your computer and hold your remote up to the speaker to download new devices to its modem. This is equivalent to the upgrades One-For-All would give you over the phone.

If you buy or build a cable for anywhere from $5 to $55 depending on your computer ports, OS and your soldering skills, you can download and upload all the devices in a matter of seconds with no wav conversion necessary. The cable method is much easier and much more powerful.
