I also checked out the Kameleon web site and it discourages the use of NiMH rechargeable batteries. Does anyone have any idea why that would be?
NiMH rechargeable battery cells have a nominal voltage of 1.2 volts, wheras the non-rechargeable battery cells have a voltage of 1.5 volts. Manufacturers have to be careful here and design devices that operate over that range. It sounds like Kameleon just wants to make sure you have 1.5 volts across each cell.
