Never really used IR pas through and they didnt touch on it in training too much... Could someone shed some light? I know you have to check off enable IR pass through, but let's say I want I have two XP-8s in the control system - where do I wire the CAT5 from one to the other for IR pass through? Let's say I am trying to control my escient upstairs which is connected to port#4 via mono plug - how do I send a command to it via my processor in the theater room (where port#4 on that porocessor is something different....)

Thanks, any information is appreciated.

Link the two processors
-Basement XP8 IR out to Signal in on upstairs XP8
-Upstairs XP8 IR out to Signal in on Basement XP8
-Link grounds
Check IR passthru on both processors
Create the escient system macros for what you want to do on the upstairs processor (if you haven't already)
Open the upstairs processor and select Device and convert IR trigger codes
Select create T2+ trigger code
Every code corresponds to your system macro numbers (IF YOUR SYSTEM MACROS CHANGE, YOUR TRIGGER CODES COULD CHANGE)
Now you can paste those trigger codes to a button

If you want to get crazy you can create a hex file and add the commands into the IR library one by one. That way you can add those to system macros in the basement processor.
