Bose-- I'm not sure. You may have to learn the signals, but Audio 1933 will probably work.

Unless the cable box is pretty new, most universals will handle it, either by setup code or by learning. If made in the last year or so, it may use the XMP IR protocol, which the above remotes will handle, but many others won't.

The main reason to not plan on learning all the functions is that you may want to program macros with discrete on/off and input source selections. That way you can typically reduce start up to a single keypress. But the OEM remotes tend to not be able to send the discrete signals, so the signals can't be learnt.
