I am trying to control some IR shutters in my bathroom with an Insteon switch. In order to accomplish this, I will be buying an Insteon IRLinc transmitter ...



It converts Insteon PLC signals into IR signals. For various reasons, it is not practical for me to run individual emitters to each set of shutters. Therefore, I was hoping to use a strategically placed IR blaster to control all three sets of shutters at once. Since I happen to have an extra MRF-350 lying around, I thought I could use it as a blaster. This would also give me the added benefit of being able to control the shutters with a URC remote. I'm pretty sure I can't hook the IRLinc directly up to the MRF, that's why I was considering using the Xantech connecting block as a go between. Am I making any sense?
