What equipment are you using(cable, dvd and etc.)? There are a lot of DVR's that have a high rf output. A lot of them have been updated to make the hard drive handle more digital recording.
My DVR is a DirectTV HD model (cant remember the exact model #)--- This could be an issue, since I think the trouble increased after I switched from comcast to directtv.
