Shouldn't be a big problem! You need an IR to X-10 box to convert IR signals into X-10, this is a model IR-543, here [Link: extenonline.com]. Now I am not familiar with the MX-810 but as long as it can send Home Automation X-10 signals via IR which I think it should, you will be fine.

Next you need some modules to control or receive the X-10 signal at your light sources/fixtures. You will need to help us understand what type of lights they are and how they are wired for us to help you with the best solution, so if you could reply with that info it'd be appreciated.

Just so you know, at my home I control everything in my a/v system plus lights, skylights, ceiling fans, etc all from my mx-500! Works perfectly, so I know i can help u do the same with an 810!
