I have had the same problem - I believe it's a bug.
If that's the case, maybe I will hold off for an update or two to see if it gets worked out.. while I don't use the favorites regularly, They are nice to have.... especially for my 5 year old that recognizes station logos and not channel numbers....
at least for now with DirecTv, I have quicktune set to a few of his favorites and he has a good grasp of using it!
