I can not fathom why in the world they would remove a very useful function that made programming complex configurations for advanced users an easier task. As it stands there is no way to route to multiple mrf outputs within a single device.. This is very useful for tone control or speaker levels within a device. You now are left to use macros in place of shortcuts and if you copy a macro and make a change to the original macro you need to keep track of this and recopy it. With shortcuts it simply references the associated button.Not to mention the page jumping during the programming.
Also there is no way to punch through the power buttons from different sources, another place where shortcuts were helpful.

I was told that shortcuts were a band aid in the mx800 because you could not assign a single command to a single button because you had to add the entire device. So the logic was that since you could do this in the mx900 shortcuts were not needed. I disagree completely.
