The krell equipment is a joke when controlling via the rear IR input. Bury an emitter in the unit or why the heck aren't you using 232 from an MSC? We ran into problems with their IR protocol with Crestron a few years back (we were out of 232 ports on the processor and tried IR input...no luck); ended up tossing an emitter in the chassis and calling it a day.
