Here on the west coast, I had a moon as the graphic until 9:00 AM
Check your XP8 zip code settings, they seem to be default to MN. I noticed that when I first set mine up. It was like 5:30 pm in vegas and I was getting a moon. So I changed my location and the graphic updated.
