I have an older Pronto (RU890) that uses a COM port on the back of one of my older computers for the COM->1/8" jack link cable. (At least I think that's what it's called, right - a COM port? Looks like a male VGA monitor connector)

Two questions, I guess:

First, will a RU890 work with something more modern like a USB->1/8" jack cable?

Second, does such a cable exist?

I'm hoping the answer to both questions is yes, or I'm going to have to keep this old computer around forever just to program the remote!
