May I suggest a cable ground loop isolator (ebay). I suspect that is your problem. It is very likely that you are getting ground into the circuit from both the rack-mount of RFX9600 (chassis ground) and from the cable. May be just enough interference to cause this. If you have any mono-cables plugged into extender, this could cause problem as well.
