I suspect you're right. Though economic times are tough, I'll probably survive the $1.99 loss. I can always use the transmitter base as a miniature flag pole,
or maybe a low voltage lightning rod... lodge pole for a tee pee belonging to a lost tribe of technically disadvantage nomadic people... divining rod for curious but extremely cheap people...?
Then again, I'll probably cut the cord off it for my "male end cord collection" and use the antenna as pointer.
