Does the Niles AC-3 switch that much AC current? If it does, you could use the X10 to trigger a low voltage that would switch it.
Be sure that you check out your liability as regards AC power and outdoor water products. For safety, though, I'd use the X10 to trigger a contactor in an approved enclosed metal box, a box like a circuit breaker box.
Hmmmm, contactor...contactors stay in the ON position when power is lost. I think a relay would be a better idea, so if house power is lost, the pool power does not come back on the instant house power is restored, but needs a definite command to come back on.
