SJHart, If the VP50PRO comment was for me, you are correct I generally do not buy a component if it does not have RS232. However the IR on the Edge can do all of what an IR interface can do with the exception of feedback, and I really wanted the audio only HDMI output ergo . . .
Also the Edge IR interface being wired never misses a command (noise free). I am holding onto the VP50 PRO but am seriously thinking of putting it on eBay as it is still a popular unit among videophiles.
