first off . . i dont see the remote for 100$ anywhere . .that would be brutal . .

[Link: google.com]

lowest price is $160 but avg is over $200

$100 is way below dealer cost.

regarding more complex . .

i am attempting to control a 2 zone system with 5 sources.

i already did the programming but wont have the remote till monday or tuesday (my first ) (my 2nd will be this week also, but on a simpler system)

the 2 zone system consists of
pioneer display
onkyo rcvr
8300hd
apple tv
sony blu ray
am fm
ipod (via cd input)

i wish the configuration had a emulator mode that lets you test out a virtual remote on your computer to see how using it would look like without actually loading on remote.

either way ,
i disable all the on and off buttons in every activity . .

i have an activity for watch cable, blu ray, apple tv, ipod, fm, zone 2, and all off

in zone 2 activity i have zone 2 on, off, and source selections etc . . (ie Z2: iPod, Z2: Cable etc)

all off shuts everything off and goes back go home screen

on all the activities,
i also have zone 2 commands on the screen (same commands from zone 2 activity)

the new srt9230 looks great,
and im happy they added usb to it for future firmware upgrades . .

a "pro" version that is rf capable would be great . .

lets see what happens in CES

ill know my wish list for this remote come thursday the latest.

already i wish it had a better IR database (at least better names, im having trouble finding a samsung plasma model because mostly they dont even show model numbers)

also wish it was slightly less wizard based . .
