Please read my post and the same comments apply.

The OS and firmware version are the same whether read through the Editor with the remote connected or by pressing and holding the Main button and going to the System button.

Yes, the software does update the firmware, but if you have an older MX-3000 it may not support an OS later than the one you have.

What makes you think your firmware version is old?

And are you having some problems that you need help with?
