I am very familiar with RF interference but this is something else. Of my 200+ remotes this is a first.... here goes:

Philips Plasma (dont ask)
Yamaha Receiver
Yamaha DVD player
SA 8300HD cable box
MX850 Ch E
MRF250 Ch E
Gear behind doors to the back left of the room.

Problem: When the client gets within 4 feet (approx) of the equipment location ALL cable box functions on the remote stop working. This is a problem because the equipment is above part of the seating area in a fairly small room so about 1/3 of the room is plagued. It even seems to affect IR with the doors open (from the MX remote only, the SA remote works fine). WTF! Why does it matter how close it is to the gear? Could it be a light or something else in the area? It seems to be affecting a specific zone/sphere.

By the way.... All other functions work fine from anywhere!

Thanks in advance!
