I'm working with a large installation and my prior expereince is limited to MX-950 with MRF-250 devices. I'd like to move up to the MX-950 with MSC-400 for central core but still need RF control for local non-line-of-sight stuff, such as up/down lift control of a TV that hides in a cabinet and hope to use MRF-300 for those situations.

Can one MX-950 be used to hit both an MSC-400 and a MRF-300? Does using the MX-950 with MSC-400 preclude use of the MX-950 IR output for turning TV on/off?

What is maximum distance from an RX-250 to MSC-400 or MRF-300? I need about 500 feet to furthest point. I can use a dedicated CAT-5 cable (4 grounds, etc. as Eric outlined) or coax. Are ther any guidelines for expected range (disregarding RF interference) with these differnt wire types?

I've looked through what documentation is available on the UR website for the MSC-400 and the MRF-300 but have not found these answers. Any advice offered is appreciated.

Thanks,
John Acres
