I would also like to suggest that all threads include the item in question. I know many items overlap, but it may also get more views and responses if the item is mentioned in the title.
I think a thread titled "Problems controlling a Panasonic TV" would be better titled.. "Problems controlling a Panasonic TV with a MX-900" or whatever. I don't have a Panasonic TV but I do have an MX-900 so I am more inclined to read the thread and may be able to help out.
