Incidentally, to share some info re: my MX950 experience - when I'd first hooked up the MX950 to my system's USB port, Windows detected the remote, but listed it as an "unknown device;" further, the MXEditor couldn't establish a connection w/the remote (e.g., using the firmware function).

After scratching my head for a few minutes, I pulled the USB cable and plugged it into another port on the PC ... sure enough, this time Windows detected the device as an "MX-sumthin" and MXEditor could communicate w/the remote w/o issue.
