I've done only the URC MX800/MX850/MX900 for clients, but I finally got around to mucking with the MX950 (had ordered a demo unit way earlier this year, but only just got around to setting it up ... doh!)

I was surprised to find that the MX-editor installs MS "ActiveSync" (though it's referred to as AvantGo Connect in the control panel?) ... why is this s/w necessary, or is it? Can I cull it, or can the MX950 not be programmed w/o it?

Also, I was annoyed to find that the MX950 editor appears unable to import URC's MXD files ... true, one can open these up in the universal browser, but it's a pain to drag & drop all device IR codes this way. This is really surprising - the MX900 editor can import MXD files (although you'll lose the first column of LCD buttons!) ... why would URC not allow the MX950 to do same? (BTW, I'm running up-to-date s/w via LiveUpdate)
