From a CI's standpoint, although you *can* do it, you should not -- for two very important reasons:
1. The remote will be more confusing for the user to operate. 2. It will be more likely to get lost, because it could be in Room 1, or Room 2, or Room 3, etc. Dedicating the remote to a single room, means (in a perfect world) that's the only place you have to look for it.
