This is the hot idea. The next hottest is to contact Plinius and spring for a replacement remote. And then, will you need the universal, or are you only looking for it because you lost the original?

Also, I notice that the IR database for URC's MX line
of remotes has the PLinius VOL +, VOL - and MUTE codes,
so you will be good to go for the VOL that you want.

Gregorius, I opened that database in the MX3000 program and found those commands. But how can they be used on anything but an MX remote? Is there some way to see hex code, or some other type of code, so that they could be used with a different brand of remotes?
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.
