I also got the "1904 - failed to register" and "missing
MFC71.dll" errors. Another solution that worked for me
with both Windows XP and XP MCE 2005. I simply uninstalled
3.04 in Add/Remove Programs, rebooted, then downloaded
and installed the multilanguage version of the 3.04 installer
from ATI's web site. That version includes MFC71.DLL
in the installation. No errors, no problems.
This worked great for me. I was getting the three "Failed to register" messages.
