I've had no problems learning IR codes into the TSU3000. Also the CCF import feature has worked every time I've tried it so you may want to skip the learning process and just down load some old TSU2000/1000 files and go from there.
Learning new IR codes can be tricky with any remote. For the best results you should take the following steps. 1. Always, always use fresh batteries in both devices 2. Learn directly into the pronto then upload the file 3. Eliminate ALL possible sources of IR interfearnce! This is a big one. Normal home devices like halogyne lamps, flurecent lamps, sunlight, motion detectors, some cell phones, tv monitors, computer monitors and the like can emmit noise that currupts the code intering the pronto. Work in a dim enviornment it'll save all kinds of frustration. 4. Expemiment with diffent distances between the original remote and the 'eye' of the pronto. 1 to 4 inches is a typically functional range. I start at 1 inch and start moving back if need be. 5. In rare cases the lenght of your button press on the orignal remote will effect the code. If you've done all of the steps above and are still having trouble then experiment with shorted and longer hold times on the orignal remote. 6. Learn a few codes and then test them out. Nothing is more frustraing the learning dozens of commands only to have to do it all over again.
