The macro concept has kind of gone away with PENG, because it really wasn't needed, as iPod indicates. Any button can be a macro, so-to-speak, as you can call upon it from anywhere. I guess it is contingent upon your design. Most people find it best to "link to" your IR codes, versus putting them into an actual button. If you store your ir codes in a button, there are times that you cannot "alias" to them. Not sure if this is the problem you are having.
