Last night, the charge on my 7000's battery pack was low (said 'LOW' on the battery indicator), so I continued using it as long as I could. I stopped using it when I was no longer able to navigate to the Devices menu (it gave me a message saying there wasn't enough power to perform the function). So after the LCD backlight timed out and turned off, I wasn't able to activate it again.

So I recharged the thing this morning. LEDs stay lit, and I come back and check on it 3/4 hours later. LEDs are now out, so I assume it's done charging. I was able to activate the backlight, but the screen would not turn on at all. Perhaps I did something wrong, I thought. I put it back on the charger. LEDs come on again, and I come back maybe a half hour later and they are out again. I check it. Won't turn on. After I do this a third time I am thinking 'What the heck is going on' and snap off the lid and unplug the battery pack and replug it back in. Instantly the 7000's LCD backlight comes on and the thing has a full charge.

So I ask what is going on here?
