Kinda gets me though how they can charge $50.00 for 2 connectors and a hunk of wire. Like the Monster DVI 6' cable that costs $99.99, or the no-name brand that costs something like $5 that I saw (yes, I'm serious).
So I don't think that making your own would actually give bad results, but of course S-video is analog and DVI is digital...
